46-618: Termination date April 1, 1997.
Conservation district; petition; signatures; hearing; notice; publication. The county board shall examine the petition and, if it appears that the petition contains the signatures of at least ten percent of resident owners of land in the proposed district, the board shall call a public hearing. The county board shall fix a date, hour, and place for hearing upon such petition and shall cause notice of such hearing to be given by publication once each week for two consecutive weeks in the legal newspaper published or of general circulation in the county or counties within the proposed district, the last publication of which shall be not less than ten days prior to the hearing. The three state agencies shall also be notified of the time and place of such hearing by regular mail.
