Each corporation organized under the laws of this state, for profit, shall make a report in writing to the Secretary of State, as of January 1, annually, in such form as the Secretary of State may prescribe. The report shall be signed by one of the following: The president, a vice president, a secretary or a treasurer of the corporation, and forwarded to the Secretary of State on or before (1) August 1, 1982, or
(2) April 15, 1983, and April 15 of each year thereafter. The report shall be for the calendar year beginning January 1, and the annual fee shall become due and assessable on the same date, and delinquent if not paid on or before (a) August 1, 1982, or (b) April 15, 1983, and April 15 of each year thereafter. If the Secretary of State finds that such report and annual fee conform to the requirements of the law, he or she shall file the same. If he or she finds that they do not so conform, he or she shall return the same to the corporation for any necessary corrections.
